The State of The Mind

Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, just as your soul prosper. (3 John 1:2)

The Holy Spirit placed this scripture in my spirit and He began to speak to me concerning the health or state (condition) of the mind. We often talk about our physical bodies and keeping it fit but we rarely talk about our mental health. There are many walking around with mental wars going on in their heads that no one can see or notice.

God desires for us to prosper in our minds and therefore we must take time daily to feed our mind with things that are true, honest, just, pure, lovely, of good report, virtue and praiseworthy (Philippians 4:8). We must guard what we allow to enter our minds and keep the garbage (negative tv, worldly music, lies, gossip, porn) where it belongs in the trash.

What kind of mind does God require? The answer is in 1 Corinthians 2:16. We are are to have the mind Christ. How can we have the mind of Christ? Submission is the key. As followers of Jesus Christ, we are to submit ourselves to Christ daily by studying God’s word, praying, worshiping, and occasional fasting.

We are to have the mind of Christ.

We are to set our minds on things above and not on the things that are on this Earth (Colossians 3:2). Set means to stay in position and the mind is to be placed in Christ Jesus. The mind is not suppose to deviate from the knowledge of GOD because it is then that earthly desires enter in that cause a falling away from God’s original intent.

God’s plan for our lives is to live in peace, the peace that comes from Him that surpasses all understanding, which will guard our hearts and minds (Philippians 4:7). The mind state of being should be in peace and not mental anguish. The mental anguish has caused many to be imprisoned in their own minds or held captive to their circumstances.

Focus is so powerful but it can be detrimental when it is not directed towards God. So many are worried, doubtful, full of fear, stressful and filled with anxiety because their focus is on things that are temporary or things that are seen. When we shift our focus then we will begin to shift our minds. What we focus on gives power to our lives!

What we focus on gives power to our lives!

It is time for us to give our minds a break once and for all! We need to exercise our minds with the written word of GOD so that it brings us closer to the living word (Jesus Christ). We are not alone in this world and there is help. The Holy Spirit will lead you to the right connections and places so that you can get the necessary treatment for your mind!

New Season

To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the Heaven. Ecclesiastes 3:1

At the end of last year, Holy Spirit moved in such a powerful way in my life. He moved me out of my comfort zone that led to deep healing of wounds that kept me from using my voice. God gave me a voice as an instrument to speak to nations but the enemy decided he wanted to take that away when I was a child. Not anymore! GLORY TO GOD! I have my voice back and I am going to use it for the GLORY OF GOD. I am no longer going to sit on the sidelines and watch others perish without speaking TRUTH!

Father GOD, not only gave me my voice back but He removed the spirit of fear. The spirit of fear crippled me and held me back far too long. It kept me bound, isolated, and stagnant. I cried out to GOD to be SET FREE. I was ready to do whatever it took to see those chains broken. The bible in 1 John 4:18 states that PERFECT LOVE drives out fear. I knew that I desperately needed the LOVE of GOD to saturate my entire being. The Father heard my cry and I encountered His love like never before. I am now beginning to understand what it is like to be daddy’s little girl!

Seasons come and seasons go but we must understand what season we are in. Ask the Lord what season you are in and what is your assignment for that particular season. The worst thing is to repeat a season over and over because we did not consult with GOD. We need to be intentional when it comes to the things of GOD. We are are so focused on everything else but the Kingdom of GOD. The secular world has gotten many caught up in “self” and rarely ┬áis anyone focusing on advancing the Kingdom of God. As believers (Christians) it is time to draw back to that place of prayer and posture ourselves before Jesus Christ.

Embrace your new season!!!
